About Us

Established in 1975, Vick Family Farms has grown to become a globally leading and diversified grower, packer, and shipper of sweet potatoes, tobacco, cotton, soybeans, wheat, and corn, and one of the nation’s largest growers, packers, and shippers of sweet potatoes lead by its recognizable brands Carolina Gold and Pure Gold. Its success is rooted in its storied tradition, stewardship, service, and integrity.

Located in southern Nash county, Vick Farms stretches over a 30-mile radius of three counties: Wilson, Nash, and Edgecombe where tobacco, sweet potatoes, cotton, soybeans, wheat, and corn are grown on some of the most fertile lands in eastern North Carolina. With their strong attention to detail and unyielding quality, Vick Farms is regarded as one of the best farming operations in the world.

Vick Family Farms received one of the first Global Gap certificates in North Carolina which began the era of their global appearance. In the mid-1990s the operation began exporting its sweet potato crop to retail stores in the UK and many other countries. Our brands Carolina Gold and Pure Gold have a strong representation worldwide.
