Every year, the Wilson Chamber of Commerce assembles its Policy Agenda as the definitive resource for business priorities in Wilson.  Every member of the Chamber is invited to provide input on a variety of subject areas that impact market conditions, including education, environment, and healthcare.

Following this input period, the Chamber's Board of Directors reviews any proposals submitted by our members and modifies the Policy Agenda for approval.  Once approved (usually in December), the Policy Agenda is delivered to decisionmakers at the local, state, and federal levels of government, with an appeal to reference the Policy Agenda as a way to keep government action aligned with the interests of the Wilson business community.  The Policy Agenda is also used by Chamber staff as a guide for regular discussions with elected officials when updating them on market conditions and the needs and expectations of local businesses.
