The Wilson Chamber of Commerce is proud to share some exciting news for our community. PMI U.S. announced a new investment in its Wilson manufacturing facility. The company will be putting $37 million into expanding operations at the plant, a move that will bring fresh energy and opportunity to Wilson.
 
This announcement matters because it’s about more than just dollars and cents. It’s a signal that Wilson continues to be a place where companies want to grow. PMI U.S. has facilities nationwide, including major investments in Kentucky and Colorado. Out of all the places where it could have expanded, PMI chose to build further here in Wilson. That says a lot about the strength of our workforce, the stability of our local economy and the supportive business climate we’ve built together.
 
The recent investment in Wilson is part of PMI’s larger Invested in America campaign, through which the company has already invested hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. manufacturing and innovation. This renewed commitment in PMI’s manufacturing presence in North Carolina will help build on that progress and support stronger local economies throughout the state.
 
PMI’s work is also tied to its mission of creating smoke-free alternatives. As the company develops new products and ramps up production, the Wilson facility will be playing an important role in that future.
