Since 1902, Barton College has been an indispensable part of the Wilson community fabric.  The "town and gown" relationship that exists between local businesses and one of the best liberal arts colleges in the South means that every year, Wilson sees a surge of college graduates ready to enter our workforce. 

This relationship also presents the Chamber an opportunity to introduce our member businesses to the campus community.  On the first Monday of classes (August 22, 2022), we host "Welcome Back Barton" on campus, allowing our members to set up tables for students, faculty, and staff to become familiar with the goods and services they offer.  Best of all, this is a complimentary benefit to our members:  there is no cost to participate if you are a Wilson Chamber member in good standing. 

Welcome Back Barton is also an excellent way for a business to bolster its workforce.  If you have part-time positions that might be suitable for college students, internship opportunities, career pathways of interest to graduating seniors, Welcome Back Barton is the perfect place to share those opportunities.  Likewise, churches and nonprofits looking for new congregants, volunteers, or clients might find Welcome Back Barton a great way to get their name out to a new audience.
