Disaster Preparedness May Earn Your Small Business $5000 After Local FEMA Disasters
.jpg)
September is designated as Disaster Preparedness Month to remind Americans to be ready for any disaster whether natural or man-made. In Wilson, we see more hurricanes during this month than most other months combined. Being prepared in advance of a disaster is essential for recovery, and now your small business may be rewarded for doing so.
Eligible small businesses include those with fewer than 500 employees who have completed an Emergency Preparedness Checklist, have a physical location within the US, and are not a private club, nonprofit, direct seller, or religious educational institution.
During this seminar, you will learn details to help you complete the checklist, register for the $5,000 grant program in advance of a FEMA disaster in your area, and be prepared for the next steps if notified by FEMA.
